Randy and I were best friends in elementary school "best buddies" if one of us got in trouble consider it double trouble because we were that close. When we would play any kind of game we made it a point to be on the same team and if we werent we didnt play at all, but Randy did have his faults and they were he loved to get spellbound by the little girls they all loved him. If I lost Randy during any games we were playing I could find him at the swing sets pushing the little girls in the swings or on the monkey bars talking to certain little girls or trying to when their attentions, what can I say Randy loved the little girls and his buddie Grady had to play second fiddle with Randy when it came to the little girls. When we moved up to the high school our friendship waned his interest was focused toward football and the interest in the young ladies now he still was a magnet for the ladies and my interest was focused on basketball and tennis, but deep in the back of our beings was the friendship we formed in grade school and this lasted untill the day when I lost my pal Randy ,but I do know that one day I will see my buddy again if GOD is willing.
Randy didn't like bullying even though he did like pulling pranks on his younger brother Sterling or classmates of his own size and stature, but I do re-call on this one occasion that happened in physical Ed class in the locker room down stairs of the gym. One of the upper classman had physically put a younger classman that was small in stature/frame into one of the lockers and was holding the door to keep this underclassman inside making threats and ridiculing his stature in size,Randy first politely asked the upper classman to release this young guy and he told Randy to mind his own business so Randy moved the upperclassman out of the way and released the younger guy from the locker, making the upperclassman look like the jerk he was so when Randy turned his back this upperclassman shoved Randy and believe me that was the wrong thing to do,because Randy lowered his shoulders and blasted into this guy crunching him into the lockers. Randy still seeing red asked this guy how does that feel Damn hurts dont it !!!!!!!! but when Randy got up and turned around all he could see was coach Upchurch standing there with a look on his face that said to us Randy was in a heap of trouble now, but Coach Upchurch asked Randy did he actually hear him tell this other guy Damn hurts dont it and Randy said yes he did. Coach Upchurch then told Randy to carry that rage and distructive power into the next football game and display it against his opponents and to tote that tater "football" with that kind of authority, needless to say this other guy still laying in a scrap heap amongst the lockers was helped up by the coach and was told to clean up the destruction of the locker room, but to keep a wide birth from Randy the bull and he without pause told the coach he would and he would never again pick on a underclassman and he was true to his word from then on. Randy did not like bullying!!!!!!!!!!!!!
