Beverly Nelson lost her battle with cancer and passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 19, 2017. Beverly was born Beverly Jean Payne on May 31, 1941, in Jackson, Michigan, to loving parents Andrew and Logene Payne. Beverly moved from Michigan to San Diego and taught English and Spanish, then moved to San Francisco, met her daughters' father, and worked for IBM. After moving a few more times throughout northern California, Beverly landed in Sacramento County in 1978 in Carmichael. She began working for the State of California in 1985, met her significant other Allen, and moved to Fair Oaks with him in 1988. Beverly was passionate about golf, wine, and her favorite professional sports teams, including the San Francisco Giants, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Sacramento Kings
