Ashton Peters

I am Ashton Peters (28), daughter of Charlie :) My dad passed away 6/11/2010 and I wanted to add some information to this site to honor his memory and connect with people who knew him.

Thank you to everyone who wrote in his guestbook! I really loved hearing all of your stories. Its so nice to know that he never changed. He was always fun, friendly, and easy going Charlie! I miss him terribly and wish we had more time together.

I would like to also let everyone know that Charlie Sr. passed away May 2011. It was very hard to lose both dad and grandpa so close together. I take comfort in knowing that they are reunited with God.

I have created a Flickr photoset for all of his pictures. He absolutely love taking pictures!

His obituary read:

Charles E. Peters, Jr., 58, a resident of Fort Myers Beach, sailed into the sunset of his life on June 11, 2010.

Charlie loved life and found peace in the sun and sailing. For "CP", every day was a Saturday and every Saturday was a celebration. He never met a stranger and shared his positive outlook with his special phrase, "Keep A Smile". He will be remembered by all whom he touched in life.

Charlie was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Ann Peters and is survived by his father, Charles E. Peters, Sr. of Tampa, FL and his daughter Ashton Peters of Austin TX.

He was a proud graduate of FSU and was employed by Medline Industries in the medical supply business for many years.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord, 8121 Cypress Lake Drive, Fort Myers. Donations may be made in Charlie`s name to the Dolphin & Whale Hospital at Mote Marine Laboratories, Sarasota, FL.

Thanks for being a friend to my dad. He loved each and every person that brought kindness and joy into his life :) Keep a smile!
