Thanks, Sally! We are working hard at making this the best reunion yet. We just need help in finding everyone!!! can't wait to see you at the 40th reunion!!
Hi! Wow! Nice Work! Thanks to all of you for your hard work and ongoing commitment! Wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas, Holiday Blessings and a Happy and Healthy New Year!
Happy New Year everyone! Hoping and praying that 2009 brings you good health and prosperity. Great site and I sure am looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.
Please lift Elaina Moody (Moran) and her family up in your prayers. Her son, Donnie, 24, was just in a terrible car accident. After 3 weeks he remains in critical condition. Thank you. Larry
I will include Elaine and her family in my prayers. Please let us know how things are going. Larry, thanks for letting us know about this so we can pull for them.
Hi, folks! I'd like to ask those who feel inclined to say a prayer for our reunion committee chair, Margaret Akra Bulin, who had surgery today, that she will heal fast and everything will be okay. Thanks.
I saw Margaret in the hospital last Tuesday.....She was doing well, in good spirits, and looking forward to going home.....Haven't talked to her since she went home....Christy
Hey you all, I am more than excited to reconnect with you. Old friends are treasures of life. The wonderful memories of school are happy and warm to my soul.
Did you all notice Carol Chancey's Father passed away recently?
Hey Jan - It is my understanding that it is $139 - $159 depending on what type of view you want. Have you heard how many people are going to stay the night?
I did see where Carol's father passed away. My mom passed away the day after Thanksgiving this past year. Nancy Osgood's father passed away not long ago. It seems the older we get the more we pick up the obit section of the paper. Kind of sad.
There are a lot of us staying at the hotel the night of the event. In addition, we had to guarantee 45 rooms between Friday and Saturday night along with the banquet. We are half-way there. We do not want to worry about anyone, so if you can, stay the night! It will be fun!!
Dittos on the great job on the web site. Glad Margaret is back 10-8. MERCI for helping find us lost folks who haven't thought about high school in forty years! N
LQQking for all SINGLE Male Classmates with large wallets who want a relationship with someone who will spend all your money!!
Seriously, After talking to Robert Harris yesterday on the phone, we were going over profiles and some of the funny comments. This is the greatest website and such thought was put into this project. Kudos to the Committee.
Jan... book it..lol.. How often do you have a 40yr class reunion and blessed to be able to attend. I have completely enjoyed the web site, and Chris thank you so much for the recent addition of the Senior Photos, my senior book was destroyed and this is truly a gift. Tks,Joanne..
Love the Senior Pics... (I guess now it'd be Senior CITIZEN Pics... hey, don't get mad at ME! I'll bet y'all have an AARP card too!) Thanks for adding those! Hey, girls: don't you love the HAIR? (Especially the "surfer" side-part on the guys!) Anyway, thanks :-]
Lynn, Yes. The hair ... the perfect "flip" for the girls... The boys all trying to look cool with the restrictions on hair! My son was shocked to find out I could not wear shorts and flip flops to school. I worry about the kids feet with no support though... It has been funny to watch the retro hair in schools the last 2 years. Hey, what would some of us given for a Chi flat iron back then!!!!!!!!!! This generation is VERY pampered for sure. Pedicures in high school? In 1969? HA. I think getting your hair cut by someone other than your Mom was a big deal!!! It is fun to see how the younger generation views ours too. They have 60's and 70's parties. All I know is our music was great. My nieces and nephews listen to some of the same songs (or sung by new artists). The only way better music is the Christian music which is very good now. Also country is so big which it was not for most of us back then... and it is now for sure. Isn't it interesting how you can hear a song from years ago and it brings back a very vivid memory? See you all soon, blessings and love, Chris
Last week, Janet Gable and I met for lunch at a local (local as in Hickory,NC) Zaxby's. We haven't seen or heard from each other since graduation. We talked for 4 hours! She drives within a mile of my house on a continuous basis and we live only about 20 minutes apart. She and her husband will be getting back together with us in the weeks to come. Thanks for the great job you have done on this web site. Hopefully some of the other NC area people will want to coalesce at some point down the line... Just let us know.
Sorry to learn of Elaine Moody's son. Anyone know anything? I hope and pray he's better. I'd love to see her at the renion, if she can get away. Also about the recent passing of more members of the "greatest generation." So sad... Both of my parents are gone but I sure do miss them...
Love the comment Lynn made about Senior Citizens... Yes, I'm older and darn proud of it! Can't wait to see you all. Gotta go - hubby said dinner is on the table.
