I thought I had added a comment to Bill's memory but I don't see anything. Hmm, maybe its my memory .

Anyway, The Big Calhouna!!  Bill and I spent two summers together working construction jobs for Daniel Construction Company.  We carried rebar, 2x4's trash and shovels.  I would pick him up everyday in my Ford Falcon hotrod and we would smoke Camel unfiltered cigarettes on the way to work. Thats what all the other real construction workers smoked so by God, we would too.  It was fun and we laughed all the time.

I called Bill once trying to get him to the reunion and while we had a great conversation, I couldn't get him to come. He was a great guy with a wicked sense of humor. I hope life was good to him at the end.

My recall of Bill was in locker room after gym:  I turned at just the wrong time, and my elbow caught him on his forehead, bringing on an almost immediate knot.  He was easy going then too, can see how he could handle a teaching job, but wouldn't have predicted it.
