Beverly Jones Saunders passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010, in Fort Worth after a 16-year battle with cancer. Memorial service: 1 p.m. Friday at Arlington Heights United Methodist Church in Fort Worth. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation . Beverly was born Jan. 15, 1951, in Jacksonville, Fla. To the very end, she looked cancer square in the eye and never gave in to it. She was truly an inspiration to all who knew her. She was employed at Higginbotham and Associates. She graduated from Wolfson Senior High, class of 1969, and attended Florida State University, always an avid Seminole fan. She was preceded in death by her son, Sean Whiteley. Survivors: Daughters, Lexie Whiteley, Andrea Saunders and Audrey Saunders; and sister, Carol Jones Rann.
