Claudia Miller Knight

My senior year at Florida Southern College, I eloped with a nice guy to get away from home. We moved to MO for grad school, but the marriage didn't last long. My 'real' husband and I were married 20 years and have 3 married children and 8 g'children. We lived in Northern Quebec for 7 years, then returned to OP, FL. I am happily single, independent and content, enjoying retirement. I enjoy my church, RSVP volunteer activities, choral singing and trying to keep up with the family birthdays, etc. I lived on O'ahu for 3 years after I retired and still feel the tug of paradise calling me back! Jacksonville has always been 'home' for me.

I don't remember ever getting in trouble in high school. I was active in the Methodist church, MYF and choir, and played violin in the orchestra. My parents moved to Miami in 1962. It was beautiful where we lived, but I was at FSC then. I saved my wild oat sowing for college and tried to break every rule they had. Since I was an orchestra geek and a very quite girl, the wildest thing I remember about Parker was when some football players (?) or someone emptied fire extinguishers all over the halls. I had my first taste of alcohol when I was 19 and never smoked, but for all the rest, I just never got caught!
