Right out of high school Estell married Joseph Knight, they had 3 children, Joseph Jr., Melissa, and Christopher. They were married for 16 years but it did eventually end in divorce. Estell spent the rest of her life raising her children. After battling lung cancer for 2 years she lost that fight Jan 4, 1998.
