Janice and I were fast friends from the 7th grade on.  She and I were roommates at FSU for part of our freshman year.  I even wore her wedding dress for my first wedding.  We stayed close throughout our years, even though we didn't see each other that often.  We talked on the phone for hours.

She had a very troubled second marriage which probably shortened her life.

Janice always had a knack of attracting the males around her.  I don't think she ever realized how much she meant to those who knew her.

I heard of her death after her funeral through her sister, and was so sad I didn't get to say "goodbye" to my good friend.

I  remember Janice as one of the first kids I met from the "other" elementary school as we all converged at Landon in the 7th grade.

Though we were never close friends I was nevertheless aware of Janice as having a wry sense of humor and some kind of interesting agenda going on.  God bless.

Janice had a very wicked sense of humor .  Her delivery is what made it so funny! Those high cheek bones and in set eyes  and full lips that curved on the ends as she delivered  her one liner  was her hallmark!

There was nothing stupid about  her either!  Many of her responses were based on what was temporarily  going on in the news.  Janice always had me in stitches and I am sorry that I will not have the opportunity to listen to her again.
