James Floyd Coble

 

COBLE James- “Jimmy” Floyd Coble, 69, went to be in the nearer presence of the Lord on Saturday, June 2, 2012. Jimmy was born on February 26, 1943 in Birmingham, Alabama to Paul Levoy Coble, Jr. and Katherine Floyd Coble. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving in the Naval Submarine Service. He was a retired Construction Estimator. Jimmy was a huge fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide, Roll Tide! He enjoyed his friends and church family, was a very good cook (considered himself a Master Chef) and was extremely fond of his dogs. Jimmy had a great love and devotion for his Lord, was an active member of St. Barnabas Anglican Church and the Anglican 4th Day Community. Survivors include his sister, Tressa Dishman and brother-in-law, Donald Dishman and half-sister, Ginger Gams; several nieces and nephews; his uncle, Thomas Floyd and 6 cousins in Alabama. A memorial service for Jimmy will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, 3754 University Club Blvd. with The Rev. John R. Easton, Rector, officiating. Inurnment with military honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 18th in Jacksonville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to St. Barnabus Anglican Church or the Katherine Harley A4D Scholarship Fund, the address for both is P.O. Box 8874, Jacksonville, Florida 32239.
