Esther Charlene Hyatt-

 

Terry Parker High School Class of 1962 graduate Esther Hyatt was killed August 22, 1964 in a one-vehicle accident on I-75 near Ashburn, Georgia.  Esther, age 20, was enroute from Jacksonville, Florida, to Nashville, Tennessee, where she had completed two years of college work at Trevecca Nazarene College. Esther was survived by her two loving and devoted parents, Elmer and Sarah Hyatt of Jacksonville. Esther was one of several passengers in the vehicle and the only fatality.

 

Esther had enrolled at Terry Parker as a junior high student in the late 1950's, having moved to Jacksonville from Columbus, Georgia.  She is remembered as a sweet, quiet, lovely young lady and a devout Christian and friend to all she met.
