HARTMAN Gary E. Hartman, 63, passed away March 6, 2006. He was born Feb. 11, 1943 in Waynesboro, PA. Gary retired after 32 years service with the Florida Army National Guard (Aviation) as First Sergeant (E8). He also had 20 years of dedicated service to the Jacksonville Police Reserves, 25 years service to the Arlington Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of Arlington Christian Church. Gary was a member of American Legion Post #283. He was a 1962 graduate of Terry Parker High School. He also graduated from the Florida Army National Guard Advanced NCO Academy, U.S. Army Aviation Logistics School and several other military educational schools. He was predeceased by his father Edward W. Hartman. Gary is survived by his loving wife, Johnnie Fae Hartman; son, Donald E. Hartman; mother, Helen Hartman; aunts, Violet Nead and Wanda Gardner; brother-in-law, Nick Kitchings; 2 grandchildren and a host of cousins. Visitation will be Thursday, March 9 from 6-8PM at Arlington Park Funeral Home. Funeral Service with Military honors will be held Friday, March 10 at 11AM in the chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home with Rev. Milt Willford officiating. Interment will be in Arlington Park Cemetery.
