NEU Commander John Raymond Neu, Retired U.S.C.G., 58, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2003. He retired in 1989 from a 27 year career with the U.S. Coast Guard with his last command at the U.S. Coast Guard Base in Alameda, CA. Survivors include his wife, Pamela; a son, John R. Neu, Jr. (Karen); his daughter; Christine Fleming (James); a sister, Anne N. Ginder (Carl); stepchildren, Deborah Renz, Donna Ashton (Philip) and David Cole (Billie Jo); a brother in law, Leo Schmitt (Sandra); sisters in law, Carol Dalvit and Susan Daigle; 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of COREY- KERLIN FUNERAL HOME, 940 Cesery Blvd. with Pastor Curran Spottswood officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may made to Community Hospice of N.E.
