PLATT-Chandler E. Platt, Jr., 42, a long-time resident of Jacksonville, died Sunday, February 8, 1987, at his residence following an extended illness. (He was born December 31, 1944.) (served in the U.S. Army.) was a member of the First Baptist Church; the Harry Smith Sunday School Class; and D.A.V. Chapter No. 26. He is survived by his wife, Katharine; 1 daughter, Danyse Platt; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chandler E. Platt, Sr. and Honey Platt; 1 sister, Barbara A. Menendez; 2 brothers, Christopher C. Platt and Robert W. Platt; grandmother, Mrs. Agnes F. Tompkins; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Hardage-Giddens Guardian Chapel, 4115 Hendricks Avenue, with interment to follow. Friends may call at the Funeral Home after 6 p.m. today. Those desiring may make contributions to D.A.V. Chapter 26 Building Fund.
