MR. BERNARD EMORY (BERNIE) DEMUTH, age 68, of Eastman, GA, formerly of Tampa, FL, died Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Coliseum Medical Center, Macon.

Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Monday, October 29 at Zebulon Baptist Church, with Rev. Brian Jones and Dr. Michael Soud officiating, with interment in Zebulon Cemetery.

Mr. DeMuth was a member of Zebulon Baptist Church, a former resident of Tampa, FL for over 40 years, a 1966 Graduate of the University of Florida, a retired contractor for Ellis Construction, Heery Construction & Turner Construction and past President of Associated Builders & Contractors Gulf Coast Chapter.  He was an avid golfer, fisherman and University of Florida football fan.  He was son of the late Artie Warburton DeMuth & Nelson DeMuth.

Survivors:  Wife – Brenda Soud DeMuth of Eastman;  2 Daughters – Vivian D. Cook (Mel) of Jacksonville, FL and Alyssa D. Baker (John) of Tampa, FL;  Son – Todd DeMuth of Locust Grove, GA;  Sister – Mary Ann DeMuth (Daemon) of Decatur;  Brother – Nelson DeMuth, Jr. (Diana) of Los Alamos, NM;  Mother-in-Law – Vivian Hazouri of Eastman;  2 Brothers-in-Law – Wayne Soud (Mary Lou) of Eastman and Dr. Michael Soud of Jacksonville, FL;  7 Grandchildren – Ashley DeMuth, Carson Baker, Cameron Baker, Kaleb DeMuth, Faith Cook, Danielle Cook and Luke Cook;  Several Nieces and Nephews.

The family may be contacted at the DeMuth residence, 179 Jessica Lane, Eastman, and will receive friends in Zebulon Baptist Church from 9:30AM-11:00AM Monday, October 29.
