Mary Powell, 71, of Jasper passed away at St. Luke's

Hospital in Houston on Tuesday, February 2, 2016. A Celebration of her Life will

be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church

of Jasper. The family will greet friends on Thursday, February 4th from 5:00 p.m.

until 7:00 p.m. at Shultz Funeral Home.

A native of Austin, Texas, she was born on September 6, 1944 to Lester & Faye

Bailey. She was a resident of Austin until moving to Jasper in 1947. She was a

member of the 1963 graduating class of Jasper High School. She worked as a

teller for First State Bank/First Bank & Trust until her retirement in December of

2013. She is survived by her son Ross & wife Angie Neal of Jasper; as well as

grandsons Barret, Hayes, & Brady. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be
