Donald L. Campbell

Donald L. Campbell was born September 19, 1937 in Cotton Valley, LA. and passed away March 11, 2008 in Woodlands, TX. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Emma Campbell of Carthage, TX.

Don was in the teaching and counseling profession for 33 years prior to retiring in 1995 from Dickinson ISD.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Tommie Campbell, of Montgomery, TX. Sons, Kevin Campbell and his wife Gillian of Trinity, TX; Brian Campbell and his wife Tennille of Montgomery, TX and the loves of his life, his grandchildren, Colton Campbell, Gavin Campbell, and Maddison Campbell.

Also surviving are brothers, Marvin Campbell and wife Jo of Kingwood, TX; Lynn Campbell and wife Charlsie of Longview, TX and James Campbell of Carthage, TX. Surviving sisters are Erma and husband Jimmy Reynolds of Eustace, TX; Janice and husband Jay Ivy of Midland, TX; and Sarah and husband Shelby McMillan of Carthage, TX; plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Don is also survived by his mother-in-law, Evelyn Fraser of Jasper, TX and brother-inlaw Mac Fraser and his wife JoLin also of Jasper, TX.

A graveside service was held March 14, 2008 at Memorial Park Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper, TX.
