Lisa Wachlarowicz (Wachlarowicz) - Class Of 1976

LISA WHACHLAROWICZ (BERNARD) graduate of 1976

Lisa died several years ago of cancer. She was the sister of Pierre and Marcus Bernard, daughter of Margaret (Allard)
Bernard, cousin of Suzanne Allard.....

I don't know what year it was that she died but it was at least 15 years ago. Her daughter was very young, 4 or 5.

Lisa graduated in 1976. She was a wonderful person, slightly goofy and lots of fun. I will never forget decorating floats in her garage for the Jefferson Homecoming parade with Lisa, Suzanne Allard and Barb Deroche. Her little brother Pierre was a pest!

Our loss is Heaven's gain.

I thought she had passed on. I remember seeing her at physical therapy, the same time I was there...around 1989 and that is when they found the brain tumor, she was there as a patient also.

Lisa's time on earth was short..but it was powerful. I remember her as being a kind soul, with a lot of light in her soul. She treated everyone with love.

I was always very fond of her...and hope she is being blessed in eternal life. I am so sure she is.

Must of been very hard for her family, husband and daughter...time heals all wounds but the loss was so profound.

Blessings to her family.

Much light,
Kate aka Kathy Stuart

If it is true that the good die young, it is a wonder Lisa lived as long as she did. She was all good. Sweet, fun, good natured, playful, and smart as a whip. I'm better for having known her as are we all. I know her passing has left a vacuous wound for her family. It is one of those events that challenges us all to question what we erstwhile assume we know and believe or have faith in. I'd love to see her on the "other side" but I'm not that good of a man. I'll have to rely on gossip and legend that makes its way down to where I end up.

Lisa "Boom Boom" as Fred Tibbetts called her, left us far to early when her children were young. Lisa and I were born only two days apart and were like sisters. We were always together and even attended college together. She was adored by all wherever she went and was crowned queen in college. She has two beautiful children; Amanda and John. I have had the chance to see her beautiful son a few times in recent years. (Age 21)
Lisa, Beth and I (The ABC's as were were called) were all first cousins and we had great memories in track and basketball. Fred always commended Lisa for giving it her all when she ran because after each race she ran, she would loose her cookies! I miss her everyday!

The lagacy we live on this earth is more powerful after we are gone than when we were here. When you lose someone like Lisa you realize what a blessing that person was. I will always remember the fun times that Lisa Suzanne and Beth used to hang around.

We attended the same college (Dakota State) and I remember I used to see her and Suzanne the same place on campus every Thursday heading to Earth Science and Astronomy. GOD BLESS HER! What appears to be Earth's loss
is Heavens gain! We Walk this way once, we will never walk this way again!

2011 has found me reflecting on life in general.  My mother has been quite ill which has given me a sense of watching my life pass before my eyes.  I have been blessed with great friends and a family I love dearly  but realize that I have not kept in contact with my high school friends.  I have thought of Lisa often and remember admiring her greatly in high school.  She truly was one of the kindest, funniest, most sincere people I knew in high school.  I laughed reading about "boom boom" and remember seeing Lisa "lose her cookies" a few times.   I trust there is a reason it is New Years Day and I am writing a post about Lisa.  I hope her family has found peace with her loss and that their grief has since been replaced with incredible memories.  God Bless each and everyone of you.  Sincerely, Peggy Jones Tramontina, class of 1977
