Rusty was living in Greenfield, WI and died as a result of injuries suffered in an auto accident. He graduated from UW-LaCrosse with a Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Medicine. He was employed as a Nuclear Medicine Technician at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee and part-time at a Menomonee Falls hospital. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed softball, basketball, and volleyball (he was a member of several teams).
