Lehman Oden - Class Of 1993

Lehman Duane Oden joined Our Father in Heaven, at Baptist Health in Lexington, Kentucky, due to complications of pneumonia, on June 13, 2022, at 8:57p.m. Lehman was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Oden of Hazard, his brother, Timmy Ray Olinger of Hazard, also his hero and rock, Katherine Peake Oden of McRoberts Ky. Lehman is survived by his wife of 19 years, Nicole Oden. His children, Kelsey Kidwell, Kenyon and Kamryn Oden, Zachary Burkhead of Hindman Ky, Tyrin and Tayshawn Hammons. His grandchildren Camden & Cyson (Kelsey). His father Larry Oden of Hazard Ky. His sisters, Michelle and Tina Oden of Hazard Ky and his brother, Montez Oden (Cody) of Lexington Ky. And a host of other family and friends, with a special thank you to his aunt Debra Oden Williams (Lavon) of Lexington Ky for her patience, guidance and love to Lehman. And lastly, his beloved dog Khloey that he spent countless hours playing with daily; she brought him so much joy and happiness. Lehman was born and lived his child and young adult life in McRoberts Ky. He attended Jenkins High School, where he enjoyed multiple sports such as basketball and track, before graduating in 1993. Following high school, he relocated to Lexington, Ky, where he has remained for the rest of his life. Lehman was a loving, compassionate, and loyal man. He loved his family and friends dearly and was loved by all who knew him. Lehman took great pride in his wife, children, and grandchildren. Lehman enjoyed hanging out with friends and family, being outdoors on a pretty day, traveling, playing cards, going to casinos, bowling, attending sporting events, UK men's basketball, playing catch with his dog, scratching lottery tickets, watching movies, and being goofy with his kids. Lehman had a very close and personal relationship with our lord, Jesus Christ. In 2020, Lehman professed his love for and belief in Jesus and was excited for the promise of his eternal life in Heaven. Lehman will be extremely missed, but never forgotten. His memory will live on through his children, family and friends. Services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday , June 22 at Kerr Brothers-Harrodsburg Road by Pastor Steve Peake with burial following in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be 12:00-2:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
