Freda Haynes (Mullins) - Class Of 1958

Freda Ann Mullins, 81, of Payne Gap, died March 25.

A daughter of a coal miner, the late Alfred Haynes, and a homemaker, the late Mary Blevins Haynes, she was preceded in death by her youngest son, Christopher Shane Toth, and six brothers, Charles, Wayne, James, Earl, H.B. and Roy.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Donald “Donnie” B. Mullins, who cared tirelessly for her over the past five years after her tragic all-terrain vehicle accident; three children, Jimmy Toth and Paula Herring, Patricia Toth Polly, David Toth and Shannon Kouri Toth; Mr. Mullins’s children, Melissa Mullins Meyer and Chris, and Michael Mullins and Michelle Mullins; grandchildren, Brittany and husband Ryan, Chris, Emily and husband Jeff, Skylar and husband Lucas, Destiny and husband Kyle, Kennon, William, Bethany and Dominic; Mr. Mullins’s grandchildren, Megan, Matthew and Hugh; and six great-grandchildren, Leah, Bryson, Everly, Blakley, Abigail and Brady.

Mrs. Mullins was a longtime member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Jenkins. She served as the church secretary for many years and was a member of the church choir. She loved her church and all of her church family. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held March 27 at Polly & Craft Funeral Home in Jenkins. Burial was in the Greer family cemetery at Burdine.
