Date Deceased: 2021
Age at Death: 79
Cause of Death: Pancreatic carcinoma
Classmate City: Durban
Survived By: Wife of 55 years, Sue and three children Mark, Paul and Helen
Malcolm was a close friend of mine at Medical school. I was his "Best man" when he got married. Became a Radiologist and eventually was Prof at Wits after prof Kaye. Only lasted a few years and then left and went to Durban to enter a Private practice. Practised there until his death. Became totally involved with wild life and wrote a book on "The trees of the Kruger Park". He came from a humble background but became a giant amongst his profession. He was widely gifted from being the top Physics scholar in his Matric year at Marits brothers, to winning the SA Bisley title in Bloemfontein. Was widely respected and admired for the huge amount he put into wild life. The Kruger Park was his second home. He bore his illness with his typical fortitude and his passing was a sad loss to his family and friends.
