I remember Craig from way back in 1st grade.  The minute Mrs Byrd would walk out of the room, Craig would be crawling under his desk and running to kiss Milne Trowbridge!  Craig didn't step through life, he RAN through it.  When playing softball in grade school, he would slide into base....on the blacktop!  Always covered in scabs......a fun, scrappy, smiling guy......I was blown away when I heard he had died.

Craig loved to chase the girls and kiss them!  I remember him chasing us all over the playground and trying to pull me into the boys bathroom to kiss.  This was in first & second grade of course!  Melody is right, he was all over place and always up to something.  I'm sure he really kept the teachers on their toes, but was a constant source of entertainment for us kids!  Most of all I remember his impish smile!

Craig was always full of "adventures" and we all loved him for that !  Craig and I shared many quiet times together just "thinking outloud".  He had a very soft, contemplative side to him and that's how I will always remember him.  He was a great friend to Steve and I.

Carol Moles (Thompson)

Craig was married to my step sister, Renee' Moles, for four years when he passed away on November 22, 2001. That is were I got this information -

Craig was diagnosed with bone cancer & had a small spot on his lung. He went in for chemotherapy & was over-dosed. He died of Toxic Shock Syndrome in the arms of his wife & brother, Chris.

Craig went into the Air Force after high school. Played on a professional rugby team in Wisconsin & was asked to go to England to try out for the Nationals but didn't because he was homesick for Oregon. He had many trophys & awards. He came home to work for his father & eventually went to work at the saw mill. He lost the use of his left arm in an accident & it took a year to rehabilitate. During  this time he went to school in Portland to become a Medical Assistant & Phlebotomist. He hated the job & went back to mill work, at Gilcrest Saw Mill in La Pine Oregon, as soon as he was able.

Craig's Likes & Dislikes

Craig disliked people who delibertly hurt anything for pleasure. He disliked whinners & complainers. He disliked being manipulated & controlled. He disliked laziness. And he really hated liver! LOL! In truth, his dislikes were few. He loved much more.

Craig loved words. One of his most treasured possessions was his dictionary. He loved reading. As he read he would write down any word he was not sure of & later look them up. He read everyday & had a good command of the English language.

He loved taking pictures. His photography is all over the place & he gave them freely as gifts. His camera was an extention of his body when he was out in nature. There was little he loved more than being in the mountains, by a lake or a river. He loved hiking & rafting.

He loved playing pool, dancing & music. Especially live music! And loved going to concerts.

Craig loved life & squeezed every drop out of it to his fullest. But most of all he loved his wife, family & friends.
