Cairns, Richard Charles 10/3/1943 - 2/26/2016 Kalamazoo, MI Richard, 72, on Friday, February 26, 2016, lost his battle with cancer. Richard (Dick) was born on October 3, 1943 in Kalamazoo, MI to Verne and Lorene Cairns (Johnston). He attended Kalamazoo Central High School, class of 1961, he then served 4 years in the U. S. Air Force and then retired after 34 years from General Motors in 1999. Dick enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling, ...and loved spending time with family and friends. Servived by: His loving wife Patricia Anne Cairns (Lenfield); Siblings: Linda Anderson (Cairns), Gary Cairns, William (Bill) Cairns, Scott Cairns; Children; Larkin Lindner, Jeffrey Cairns, Richelle Cairns; Grandchildren: Aaron Lindner, Amberly Ware (Thompson), Tyler Cairns, Sydney Landon, Sophia Majewski, Braeden Lindner; Great-Grandsons: Reed Ware, Vincent Lindner, Owen Ware and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Dick was hard working, loyal and always enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Cremation has taken place.
