Died Saturday morning October 17, 2009. Earl was born August 20, 1941 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Earl D. and Dorothy (McLaughlin) Knowlton. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Knowlton of Kalamazoo; a brother, Lawrence (Sandra) Knowlton of Schoolcraft; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 1 o'clock Tuesday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8pm Monday. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the West Michigan Cancer Center or Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
