Sharon "Sheri" L. (Reynolds) Fitch

April 17, 1943 ~ August 31, 2022

Passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022. Sheri was born April 17, 1943, in Kalamazoo the daughter of Ralph and Dorothy (Todd) Reynolds. Sheri was an amazing person that would light up any room upon entry. One of Sheri’s biggest passions in her life were her two boys, and their families. Sheri was an amazing Mom, Sister, Grandma, Great Grandma, and most of all she was a Friend to so many, she was a staple in the area. Sheri probably catered/bartender more parties in this area than anyone. Working many years in food service/hospitality including opening the penalty box lounge in 1974 at Wings Stadium, where she saw many concerts and hockey games (turning her boys into avid hockey fans), working for Daanes Catering for 35 years where she retired. Some of her other employment was Bill Knapps, Staffords. Known by many and loved by all, some knew her as Sheri, some called her “Babes” and she also went as “Louie” by special people and some people just knew her as that bartender at the Birches. Sheri loved to travel, she made it to many destinations and was truly blessed to do so, she was even able to travel with her two sons and families in the past few years which was an absolute joy for her. Many phrases ring true since Sheri’s passing, “she can make a friend from a stranger,” “Sheri invented the free pour,” “I loved being Sheri’s sister” and many more. Sheri always had a smile on her face even during the final days of her life. One thing is that you never wanted to be on the wrong side of Sheri’s waving finger. Mom you were loved by all and will be truly missed. She is survived by her children, Jason (Dawn) Fitch, Todd Tabor (Mary Spiewak); grandchildren, Amber Fitch, Adam Tabor, Austin Powell, Brittney Powell, Spencer Powell; great-grandchildren, Lukas Haase and Zayn Powell; her sister, Diana (Corby) O’Leary; her companion, Ron Tabor; and several other siblings, nieces and nephews. A celebration of Sheri’s life will be held from 4:00-8:00pm Thursday, September 8 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial and Cremation Services, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009.
