I knew Shane Pendleton my whole life through church. He always made me laugh. Shane and I walked home everyday together from Argentine Middle School, up that big hill. Shane liked to tell it like it is, when he knew he could get away with it. Because if our mothers ever found out what we thought of some things, they'd kill us. When we would get to my house, sometimes he would get a drink or snack because he had another mile left to go on his walk home. May all of his journeys be peaceful and filled with music.
He had been my friend since elementry school. I was able to be a small part of his last days since I worked in the Cancer Center at KU. He always kept his head up and was in good spirits to the end. He will be missed by alot of people including me. Good bless his family and I am sure he will be looking down on us on at the reunion. Thank you for the good times Shane.
