John Frederick Hill, 65, of Overland Park, KS, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Memorial services will be 1 pm Wednesday, May 16 at Mt. Moriah and Freeman Funeral home with a private burial of ashes at Mt. Moriah Cemetery. John was born on February 25, 1947 in Kansas City, MO. He is the son of John and Julia (St. Clair) Hill and was raised by his step-mother June Hill. John was a Veteran of the United States Army and a member of American Legion Post #58. He married Joyce A. Rozmiarek on February 19, 1994 in Blue Springs, MO. He enjoyed boating, fishing, working outdoors and was an avid traveler. He enjoyed sports his favorites being pro and college football, especially supporting the Michigan Wolverines and watching horse racing. He was preceded in death by his parents and step mother and is survived by his loving wife, Joyce A. Hill of Overland Park, KS, a sister-in-law, Rose Rozmiarek and husband Gary Johnson, many dear friends and his dog, Nicci.
