 Janenne Elton
May 7, 2021
Kansas City, Missouri - Janenne Elton, 73, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on May 7, 2021. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Janenne's Life will be held at a later date. Janenne's love of life, family, and friends will not end with her passing. She had to leave us on May 7, 2021 after a brave and dignified struggle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her father, Star Ennis Elton, Sr, and her Mother Mary Annette (Davis) Elton. Janenne spent most of her life in Kansas City, MO, also living in Carmel, CA, Santa Fe, NM, and Hilo, HI. She graduated from Southwest High School, worked for TWA as well as the Hospitality industry. Her most enjoyable career was Real Estate. Janenne filled her life with humor and a warm genuine spirit but could confront adversity head on. She was loving, caring, and sharing with others, often putting their concerns ahead of her own. Her positive outlook gave confidence to those who needed it. Janenne was the ultimate animal whisperer, especially with dogs, cats, and horses. She was usually healing, taming, and saving the forgotten ones. Many of her personal stories have created good memories. Never second in her concerns was the children's cancer hospital which she privately supported. Janenne is survived by her brother, Star Ennis Elton, Jr., sister Suellen Elton Blond, her nieces, nephews, and extended family, as well as her funny little dog, Pork Chop. Janenne lived so close to our house, we saw each other coming & going. I got to know her a bit more through this website, exchanging messages. I LOVED how engaged she was with life, with a sense of 'why not' & adventurism!

May she rub off on me.

PS Janenne died only one month after Mark, my life partner and 'soulmate,' also of cancer.
Onto a year, now ... My love to both.

Janenne was one of the first folks I met when I came to Southwest my sophomore year.  We immeditely became friends. She was always laughing and making others laugh at the world as she saw it. Her love of four legged creatures never waned, even ater a serious injury from one of her horses. She was a very caring soul, always thinking of others and their animals!. After we graduated, and I moved away to attend the U of A, we stayed in touch.  I'd decided to go to the Bay Area for the summer after my freshman year and Janenne joined me for the last month in a tiny studio apartment in Redwood City. We just had fun like two 19-year olds on their own can.  When I moved to Lake Tahoe, Janenne, along with Nan Prose (both were with TWA then) came up for a visit.  For a time she was based out of SF but living in Pacific Grove and I would go there to visit. It was always wonderful to get together. Our last visit was at the 50-year class reunion where shared the antics of our canine kids - her Pork Chop and my Pogo. Thanks for the memories Neen.
