Jerry and I were friends at Border Star and remained friends in High School until he moved Junior year. We lost touch, but he reached out to many SWHS friends after he moved to Florida to be closer to his sick mother and siblings, probably when we were in our 40's or 50's. Our reacquaintance stuck and we talked by phone or text for over 20 years. He was never very open about his life or what he was doing with his time, but he knew a lot about my life and was always wanting pictures of where I traveled or what I was involved in. I know that Southwest was a big part of his life, and he always wondered what old friends were doing. I will miss him calling me "baby", and his frequent check ins. May his memory be a blessing.
