I remember seeing Melanie around, though I wasn't close to her.. I do remember the day she died clearly, there was a big commotion. People gathered in the students parking lot.. I think I remember hearing sirens of emergency vehicles.

She lived up on the Northside, so she and some other people or person drove down the Kealia side of the hill, some how they pulled out in front of a heavy truck belonging to the power company that was heading south bound and T-boned the little Toyota or Datsun she was in, for some reason I remember it as being blue.. could be wrong though.

She was killed instantly.. Her body was cremated and the ashes scattered by helicopter in the pastures near Princeville where she enjoyed riding horses... Too young...
