M. Scott Twaits, 25, died Aug. 10 in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, following an auto accident on Saturday. He was born in Kendallville on Jan. 12, 1972 to Melvin and Jo Ann (Meade) Twaits. His father survives in Kimmell and his mother and stepfather, Jo Ann and David Goodman, in LaGrange. A U. S. Army veteran, he was a member of Bethel Christian Baptist Church. Surviving also are 2 daughters, Grace Stevens of Kendallville and Brandi Nicole Twaits of Ashley; his companion, Jennifer Stevens of Kendallville; 2 sisters, Melanie Creek of Huntertown and Sue Browning of Albion; a brother, Troy Prater of Kendallville; and his grandmother, Ruby Meade of Kendallville. He was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Prater, and his grandfather, Astor Meade. Burial, Orange Cemetery.
