I am so sorry to hear that Rich has died. He was an important part of my circle of friends. Many were into scouting. My deepest sympathy to the entire family.
Richard's and my family purchased their respective homes at 72 & 66 Courier Blvd. early on. The Dabolts purchased in 1939 and my parents purchsed 66 Courier Blvd. in 1941. Both of us grew up knowing each other for all of our 73 years. Richard dated our classmate Joyce Valery through high school getting married shortly after graduation. I considered Richard my best friend along with his whole family. We double dated numerous times and remained close freinds till his passing July 1, 2019 in Aiken, South Carolina. We saw each other recently since my wife and I purchased a lake home just outside of Augusta, Ga. an hour away. Richard will be missed by many.
