Thanks to this website, Leslie and I had reconnected and had corresponded several times.  She even sent me some OLD photos.  She never mentioned being ill, so I was shocked to see her name under "in memory".  Does anyone know what happened?

I wish we had had more time to stay reconnected.

Posted on Leslie's FB page by her daughter Brett Baron Marianetti on February 22, 2014:

Leslie Stone Baron, nee Leslie Hart, was lost to a food-borne illness while vacationing in Cancun at age 68. She was with her adoring husband, Wayne C. Sevrit, at a beautiful resort where she'd spent many weeks of the past several years, and had walked on the beach just the day prior to her passing. In accordance with her written requests, Leslie will not be remembered in funeral or service, but w...ill have her ashes scattered in the Grand Tetons in July.

An artist, seamstress, carpenter, musician, and occupational and physical therapist, Leslie is survived by her husband, her sister Diane Harris, her daughters Amy Baron Dreher and Brett Baron-Marianetti, and her grandchildren Zachary Marianetti, Max Marianetti, Hannah Dreher, Holly Dreher and Heidi Dreher, and her sons-in-law, Robert Marianetti and Kevin Dreher. She is remembered in a poem her youngest daughter wrote during childhood:

No matter how apart we are
Our love shall travel far and far.
Just look up high
Into the sky
And find the brightest star.
Then think of me within your heart.
With that love forget me not.
