George R. Siver
January 11, 1943 - February 24, 2021
George R. Siver, 78, passed away peacefully, surrounded and held by his loving family on Wednesday, February 24,2021.
He was the son of the late Donald and Margaret (Clarke) Siver Sr.
George spent most of his career as a car auto mechanic His last 10 years he spent working for Finishmaster where we was part of the delivery team. He enjoyed it because George was a “people person” always liked to meet knew people and have conversations. George was a member of many clubs throughout the Pottstown area. He belonged to the Holy Name Society Club, St. Gabriel’s Lodge, Pottstown Car Club; where he won 18 trophies. George was also a member of AA of the Pottstown Area where he was a well-respected mentor and sponsor. George had a variety of hobbies but the one he was most passionate about were cars. He enjoyed golfing, was a master wood worker and was known for his charcoal sketching. Later in life George become a Eucharistic Minister. George had advise he would always like to share with people “how important it is to have good self-esteem and not to look for it in others.”
George is survived by his four daughters; Marie Sorensen and husband Michael, Michele Lodge and husband Thomas, Melinda Mattson and husband Clarence, Jessica Guyer and husband Kirt. A sister Barbara Jones, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He is predeceased by wife Ann (Gribbin) Siver brother Donald Siver Jr., and one grandchild; Stephen Lodge.

So sorry to read about the passing of George Siver. Although we haven't stayed in touch, I've known him since junior high days.Lots of memories, so sad to read this.

George and I were in home room together from 7th grade on, he had a very subtle but biting sense of humor when he chose to express it. We had a common affliction in high school, which was zero interest in anything academic, thus we commiserated about our poor grades, which were a result of feeling like we didnt really belong in an academic setting. George found his place in the world a little later in life, and I really liked the picture of him posted with his obit, he had a penetrating look in his eyes. I dont think you could bs George about anything; which tells me he was a lifelong learner about character development, and arrived at a place of peace with himself.

It came as a surprise to me that George had passed away as I had just sent him another birthday wish just 3 weeks ago. I had no idea he had passed away over a year ago. Wow. Geroge and I all hung out together with Al and Ron and Wayne and others and rode together to and from Bradford with Al Mink in his Olds. And after we al turned 18 it was off to Earl's, Leo's and Dick's for a few brewskis. I rember playing the shuffel bowl for beers against others in the bar. I wasn't as good as others in the group but we won a lot of games, got free beers from the bar for a 300 game and just had a great time. I remember crusing in downtown Kenosha with George in his '59 black Corvette. Great memories. I went off to school and moved from Kenosha and while we did see each other a few times after that but we did go different ways. The thoughts of what we did together is still fresh inn my mind.
