Such a nice person.  I'm glad I got to see her at the reunion.  May God be with you and Butch.

I'm in shock that Bette is gone.  She & I had such a nice visit at the reunion.  Jim &  I played together as kids growing up in the same neighborhood.  It was so good reminising with her.  My deepest sympathies to their family.  God Bless you both.  You are together now.

Bette was one of the first "new firiends" I met as a  sophomore at Mary D. Bradford HS.  I instantly liked her.  She had such a sweet smile.  Over the years when we saw each other Bette's sweet smile was always there... even through her illness.  It was wonderful seeing Bette and spending time with her at our 50th class reunion.  My prayers and sympathy go out to Bette's family and friends.  Sandi (Prell) Obertin

I read the Kenosha News today and was saddend to learn of Betty's passing.  I met Betty at Washingotn Jr. High.  Back then she had a pleasing, sincere smile along with an outstanding personality that I am sure stayed with her to the end.  I am very sorry that I was not able to attend the reunion and to have had the opportunity to talk to Betty and share stories of the last 55 years.  She is now back with the love of her life, husband Jim.

Bette was one of the sweetest girls ever!  We met in 7th grade, and although we were in "different" crowds, I always considered her a friend.  So glad we talked and laughed @ the 50th.  She was one great person!  RIP, Bette........you!ll be missed.  Glad you'll be reunited with Jim once again.  God bless you both.

I, too, first met Bette in 7th grade.  What a sweetheart!  I was so happy to see her again at the reunion.  We had such a nice visit.  My thoughts and prayers go to her family.  She will be missed!

I met Bette in our sophomore year.  We had our homeroom in the annex & it was comprised of all the "Smith" people.  She was so cute & had a perpetual smile.  What a sweet person.  At the 50th she shared her confidence that her life was in God's hands and she was at peace with that.  How blessed I was to know Bette.  Her memory will continue to delight and inspire me.
