Margaret Keckeisen (Lindemann)

Anchorage resident Margaret Lindemann, 55, died of breast cancer June 13, 2005, at Alaska Regional Hospital. A memorial service was held at Holy Family Cathedral. The Rev. Donald Bramble officiated.

Mrs. Lindemann was born Feb. 26, 1950, in Chicago, and lived in Kenosha, Wis., from 1950 until 1978, when she moved to Alaska. She was a high school graduate and had worked for ACS Alaska since 1985. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and was an American Contract Bridge League Lifemaster.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Lindemann of Anchorage; son, Jim Lindemann of Anchorage; daughter, Rebecca Lindemann of Eugene, Ore.; sister, Mary Mystrom of Anchorage; brother, Jim Keckeisen of Kenosha, Wis.; granddaughter, Brianna Lindemann of Anchorage; and grandson, Jackson Lindemann of Anchorage. Arrangements are with Evergreen Memorial Chapel.
 



Midge was a wonderful athlete when women's sports teams were yet to be recognized. She was truly before her time. If St. Joes had women's softball and volleyball teams during our high school years, Midge would surely be in the Sports Hall of Fame now.
