April 11-13, 2014 Inauguration ceremony @ Fisk University.

It was a fabulous event which included a morning Prayer Breakfast, the Inauguration Ceremony and Luncheon on Friday, the Fisk University Scholarship Gala on Saturday evening which also featured Actor Terrence Howard, News celebrity Willie Giest of MSNBC, and 3-time Grammy winner and Jazz great Ms. Dee Dee Bridgewater. The ceremonies concluded on Sunday morning at the 112 year old historic Fisk University Chapel where I preached the worship service.
Dr. Williams(Spenny) and his Family: Carole Campbell Williams, daughter - Michelle Williams McAlister and her husband Torry McAlister and son Garrett all looked wonderful.
The entire city of Nashville turned out for this exciting occasion to include the Nashville Mayor. There were also congratulations coming from the TN Gov who declared Friday as Dr. H. James Williams by proclamation.
Dr. Williams and I have been close Friends since 7th grade at Kennedy Jr. High. He was the best Man in my wedding in 1981 and I was in his wedding in 1988. At East Forsyth we were both in Upward Bound together which was the incentive for us to go to college. After graduation he went to NC Central in Durham and I went to A&T in Greensboro. We have stayed close for over 45 years.
Spenny did the East Forsyth Class of 1973 proud!! We pray his continued success.
