Mary Pearson's son

Brian Irondi, 16, delivers an order of Top 5 BBQ to a hungry lunch crowd. His boss, owner Kendon Greene (Kendon is Mary Pearson's son)   (right), says the jobs he gives students keep them out of trouble. The work is part of an informal mentoring program that Greene began with a co-worker last year while working as a security guard at DeSoto High School. Greene draws on his past to relate to the students.
