In the neighborhood, we called him "Lil Don" and he was always a friend to everyone. Just knowing that so many of our classmates have gone on should make us realize that we should not take things for granted.

Just heard about "the Don"...man, it's hard to accept. He was a cool guy, from back in the day. Smiling and joking, quick with a quip or two. We'll miss this guy, may his family be blessed with wonderful and cherished memories, and accept our heartfelt condolences! Be blessed, Bro!

I was so shocked to hear of Don's passing. His was one of the faces I most wanted to see at the reunion. We were band mates and shared all kinds of mischief and fun on trips. He wasn't always the best trumpet player, but he was without fail the best of human beings.

WOW!! I remember Don. We were not close friends but I appreciated his character and decency. It saddens me to hear this. May God bless and hold his Family and may we all rejoice in having known him.

I have just gotten on this site and saw the news about Donald's passing. I can see him in my mind's eye as if it was 1973 again. I have not seen him since graduation but am saddened to see he has passed away. He was a good friend. May God keep his family near.

I am late posting this comment, but Donald and I were good friends. I think he had a crush on me! He was a very pleasant person. He loved candy apples. We went to Brown Elementary School together.
