Marty was a great guy and friend. So sad to hear of his passing. We roomed together our freshman year of college and he was one of the easiest people to get along with that I have ever known. We spent more time playing cards than we did studying as I recall. Prayers to his family.
Marty was not just a friend. He was a BEST friend. I got a 1000 stories to tell on him. We lived acrossed from each other on Beeson road From 1960 to 1969. He went to heaven with a scar on his nose that I gave him with a back swing of a golf club. He never ever let me forget it. Getting Marty to talk? LOL good luck with that...quiet and unassuming. I was able to say I loved him a few weeks back. You'll always have a spot in my Heart Marty...
