Mr. Jerry Lee Gordon was born on April 24, 1955 in Winston-Salem, NC to the late James Odell Gordon and Dorothy Lucille Gordon. He attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County schools and was a 1973 graduate of East Forsyth High School. Following high school, Jerry served in the US Army from 1975 to 1978 as a Medic. He was a person who enjoyed helping others and was a handyman.
He passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 following a brief period of illness. He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Kenneth Gordon.
He is survived by a son: Andrew (Sasha) Greer of Columbia, SC and five grandchildren; five sisters: Beverly Reed, Janet Driskell, Angela Gordon, Lillian Gilmore and Mary Frances Hayes; two brothers: Edward Gordon and Palmer (Betty) Gilmore; a host of nieces and nephews; devoted friends, Tyrone Holman and Adrian (Melinda) Mack; other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, February 8, 2020 in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. The family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
