It's Susan's B-day and I had the pleasure of knowing how smart & funny she was. She had a real passion for her Harry, for giving back, and for being a mom. She was so proud of her girls & I'm sure as they are of her. She had a great influence on me in choosing our path of nursing.
Here's to Susan ..her great warm smile ... and twinkle in her eyes! Lov Janet Lackey Smith

I grew up with Susan. I knew her and her family well. She was a special person.

Yeah, guilty as charged! I had a crush on Susan, especially in the tenth grade. Susan was so much of what I thought of as a classy and spiritual lady. And, it was genuine with her. She lived a life of consistency. And, full of life, she was! That big grin and those slightly chubby cheeks will greet me again one day on the other side. In that assurance, I rest.

Susan was such a beautiful loving person. All who knew her were enriched by her presence as was I.

Susan was a great friend , and I fondly recall our daily commutes to East as well as our experiences in Anchor Club, yearbook staff, and being Coach Lash's assistants.  Susan was one of the most talented and creative people I have ever known.  ( About two years ago, Susan's cousin shared a published article with me that Susan had written before she passed.  The article truly touched me at a difficult time, and I felt as if Susan was still sharing her mature insight and guidance with me.)  I was truly blessed to have known her as a friend!
