In early 2008, I was trying to 'find' Pam to ensure she knew about our April 2008 35th reunion. Didn't know her parents name - and there were just too many Smiths to start calling. Imagine my surprise when I read what she wrote in my senior yearbook ,which include a 'call me some time, and a phone #" I took a chance that the # still belonged to her parents. It did - but her mother shared the sad news that Pam had died of cancer about 4 years earlier. I was both shocked, and saddened. She was a fun, delightful person

I remember her as quiet and a fine, kind person. Saddened to know she's gone.

I took a short term job with Bell South in 2003 and there I ran into Pam.  After so many years, she was telling co-workers about me before I spotted her. She was still the same quiet, always smiling that same smile Pam that I remember from so many years past.  Pam and I were in school together starting in the first grade. Even today, I am saddened looking at her picture.

Pam and I were and always will be 1st cousins.  I am 2yrs and 3months older than her.  We played together as children, did the typical teenage thing.  I married before Pam did and had my children early. My children had no cousins at the time so she became their cousin, and they called her "Big Pam", as they knew a little girl named Pam.

We all loved her, and up to the last minute of her terminal illness, she always maintained her "Pam" smile was her jovial self.  Sadly she left behind a 14 year old son and husband.  Mother, Father brother and sister in law along with many extended family members and friends.  She passed on April 18, 2004 after being diagnosed with a very agressive lung cancer on Feb. 18.  She NEVER smoked!  Sadly she would have turned 50 that December 16th and was planning to retire from Bell South.

She is an Angel in Heaven now.......in the presence of our Lord and Saviour....
