LOGGINS WINSTON-SALEM - Stanley Johnson Loggins Aug. 26, 1955 - Dec. 10, 2011 Stanley Johnson Loggins, 56, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2011. He was born on August 26, 1955 in Martinsville, VA, the son of David Loggins and Alease Bowles Loggins. He was a graduate of Carver High School in Winston-Salem, NC. He attended Johnson C. Smith University and UNC-Charlotte in Charlotte, NC. "Stan" was employed by MTI Construction in Washington, DC; Sara Lee Corporation and National Pipe and Plastic, Inc. in Winston-Salem, NC. He was a friendly and outgoing person who had a wonderful sense of humor. He was able to weave hilarious stories into his normal conversation. This was a gift that he received from his father. He was preceded in death by his father, David Loggins. Stan is survived by his mother, Alease Bowles Loggins; his son, Antoine D. Green of Hartford, CT; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 15, 2011 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Samuel Stevenson officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Stan and I went to elementary school at Carver. He was always a good friend and fun to converse with. I remember out trips to the Little theater and he and I often sat together. we'd laugh, joke and have just a great time. His basketball game was pretty tight too, as I recall.

Sad to see him go so early.
