Posted 6/2/09:  Sammy sadly lost his life in an accident on May 29, 2009.  His funeral services were held 6/2/09 in Kernersville, with full military honors.

Sammy Martin Inman, 55, of Kernersville, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2009. He was born on August 28, 1953, in Forsyth County, to Bill and Doris Inman. Sammy served in the U.S. Army Special Forces and was a truck driver for MC of A in Greensboro. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Hinshaw. Surviving is his wife, Lynn, of the home; his mother, Doris Montague; one son, Matthew Inman, of Myrtle Beach, SC; three sisters, Kathy Inman and Robin Inman, both of Arizona, and Tina Montague, of California; four brothers, Billie Kelly, Ronnie Inman and JD Montague, all of Arizona, David Hinshaw, of Germany. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Tuesday, June 2, at 1:00 p.m., at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with the Rev. David Terriaco officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Gur Cemetery in Kernersville with full military honors

I was so sorry to hear about Sammy. I could not believe it. I guess I knew Sammy during our school years at Walkertown Jr. High, and the time he went to East, as good or better than some. In school he had some issues going on at times, but deep down he was a good person. I had seen him from time to time over the years, and he was the same ole Sammy.

Sammy was a super nice guy, who knew how to make a person smile. He will be missed.
