KERNERSVILLE- Garry Lee Shore, 55, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2010 at his home. He was born October 30, 1954 in Forsyth Co. to Freida Gregory Shore and the late Robert Franklin Shore, Sr. Garry served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He loved fishing, NASCAR, football, wrestling, playing cards, Friday night go cart racing and spending time with his granddaughters In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Dwayne Shore; and his beloved dog of 14 years, Abbigail. Surviving are his daughter, Tonya Jones and husband, Jody of Kernersville; his mother, Freida of Kernersville; two brothers, Robert Franklin Shore, Jr. and wife, Kathy of Prescott, AZ, Ricky Eugene Shore of Kernersville; one sister, Jean Hackler and husband Bobby of Kernersville; and two precious granddaughters, Brittany and Brayla Jones and a very special care-giver and friend Heather Skeen that he loved like a daughter. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Bill Daniel officiating. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Monday, November 1, 2010 at the funeral home. I would like to give a very special “thank-you” to all of my daddy’s friends. I am so very sorry that he didn't get to see his granddaughters grow up.  They must have meant the very world to him as mine do to me.  I pray that you find the strength to remember good times and that somehow knowing his friends loved him too, will help us all deal with this loss.
