WINSTON-SALEM—Mr. Patrick William McNeil, 61, of Winston-Salem, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, January 5, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. McNeil was born on April 28, 1953 in West Virginia to the late Quincy Albert McNeil and Patsy Ann Shanahan McNeil. Patrick worked for 40 years at Penn Engineering and Manufacturing Corporation. He enjoyed fishing, working in his barn and spending time with his horses. Patrick was a loving husband, father, Paw-Paw, and brother and… will be deeply missed by all. Mr. McNeil is survived by his wife, Debbie Cooke McNeil of the home; two daughters, Ashley McNeil Mayne (John) of Kernersville, NC and Amanda McNeil Korn (Adam) of Winston-Salem; three grandchildren whom he adored the most, Grace Mayne, Axton Korn, and Archer Korn; three brothers, Steve McNeil (Krissy) of Winston-Salem, Michael McNeil of Winston-Salem, and John McNeil (Joanne) of Winston-Salem; and one sister, Marlene McNeil of Walnut Cove, NC. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of 9 West Tower at Forsyth Medical Center for the compassionate care they provided to Patrick during his illness.
