Ruth Green Kuijpers, of Gastonia, NC, entered into the more immediate presence of her Savior at her home on March 22, 2016. She was born on October 15, 1937 to James Edwin and Daisy Wrights Green in Forsyth County. She graduated in 1956 with the last class from Clemmons School. Ruth graduated from Catawba College majoring in English and French.

She taught in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System at Kernersville High School and East Forsyth High School. Ruth was a member of Kernersville Moravian Church, where she sang in choir, directed children's choirs, and served on the Board of Elders. She was predeceased by her parents; brother James R. Green; sister Nina G. Tomlinson; and infant brother Robert Henry Green. She is survived by her husband Harry W. Kuijpers; brothers John E. Green and Roger F. Green and wife Peggy; sister Ann Fearrington; Harry's two children Robert Kuijpers and Judith K. Ribbe of the Netherlands; and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins. The family would like to thank the doctors in Gastonia who cared for her during her illness. There will be a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Kernersville Moravian Church, officiated by Rev. John Rights. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall after the service. Memorials can be made to the Kernersville Moravian Choir or Hospice of Gastonia.
