Pamela Leigh Smith (Neal)

Kernersville – Pamela Smith Neal, age 50 went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 3rd, 2008 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Center in Winston-Salem after losing a long, brave battle against breast cancer.  She was born on May 28, 1958 in Camp Lejeune, NC to Jo Ann Landreth Smith and the late Capt. Joe F. Smith of Walkertown.  Pam was a 1976 graduate of East Forsyth High School.  She was employed at Central Carolina Volvo Trucks in Kernersville for 14 years as the Finance and Insurance Manager.  She was a faithful member of First Christian Church in Kernersville.  She is survived by her mother Jo Ann Smith of Walkertown, one son Joseph (Sean) Neal of Winston-Salem, one sister and brother-in-law, Tina and Lance Sisco of Asheboro, two nieces, Lindsay and Kalyn Sisco of Asheboro, one brother, Scott F. Smith of Browns Summit, one nephew Hunter F. Smith of Browns Summit and Grandmother Sudie Sapp Landreth of Kernersville and a host of relatives, special friends and co-workers.  Pam loved the Lord and was an encourager to everyone she met.  She had a warm infectious smile and presence.  She was loved by all who were blessed to call her friend.  She will be greatly missed.  Visitation will be Wednesday, August 6, 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm immediately followed with the funeral service at First Christian Church, 1130 N. Main St., Kernersville.  Sen. Pastor Pete Kunkel and Assoc. Pastor Wayne Branch will be officiating.  Graveside service will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown.  In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to First Christian Church Missions ministries.

 Pam was truly a gift. I loved her dearly and her passing broke my heart. She was a loyal friend. I look forward to the day when we will laugh together again. Until then ... Rest well, Pamela.
